Pyree Hall Pyree

Pyree Hall sits on land once known as swamp paddock, the name that was given by the pioneer fathers. At some point it was changed to Pyree - the aboriginal name meaning place of box trees. This area is one of the oldest farming settlements of the Shoalhaven and remains so today. The most significant and historical building is what locals call The Pyree Hall. It claims over a 125 years of service to the community. So many have stood upon these grounds and within the hall to attend meetings, to exchange ideas and information, to watch movies, to dance upon its floor boards, to gather and celebrate for parties and WEDDINGS
