Butter Factory
The Shoalhaven has an amazing selection of venues, restaurants, beaches and mountains tops. The Butter Factory buildings were utilised under various co-operative names over the years, shipping butter and chilled milk to Sydney in 10 gallon cans loaded onto horse drawn wagons to the Bomaderry railway then railed to Sydneyin the 1800’s. Eventually the buildings were once again abandoned when the Fresh Food and Ice cream Company dissolved it’s operation at Jindyandy in 1928. They lay in wait to be resurrected in the 1990’s as the Butter Factory Restaurant that we now know them today.
